Description
Designed by the Brazilian architect Mr Oscar Niemeyer , the University of Sciences and Technology of Algiers (USTA) was officially created by ordinance No. 74-50 of April 25, 1974, it will take the name "University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene "USTHB in 1980), to be a training and research center in Science and Technology.
In this spirit it took over from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Algiers, the central Faculty in the language of the students, it included the national polytechnic school which was part of it for a few years, to become autonomous again in 1983 , with the objective of developing the synergy between progress in science and technology.
