Description

Prof. Aisha Elfaki Mohamed was born in Atbara, Sudanوreceived her Bacalore from Zagazig University , Egypt (1984) as Veterinary medicine . She worked as Vet Officer till 1988 when joined   Wad Elmagboul Poultry Project, Min. of Agric. and Animal Resources, Khartoum. she attained her M.Sc., in Animal Production , Khartoum University, Sudan 1995 and Ph.D. in Ratite Medicine, University of Khartoum., Sudan 2001. She joined the Wildlife Research Center as Assistant Researcher at 1998 ,researcher , assistant professor ,2001-2006, Associate Professor 2006 and professor 2016  till now  . She was appointed Head Department of Wildlife Diseases, Breeding  and Production, Wildlife  Research Center, Sudan 2003-2009 .She appointed Associate Professor, Director of Wildlife Research Centre, Animal Resources Research Corporation , Mini. Animal Resources since 2009 - 2017. She is Professor researcher, wildlife research Center since 2016 till now.  Her researches covered wild animals and birds health and production, ostrich captive diseases and affection  .She  has authored numerous publications including on promoting poultry nutrition , wildlife diseases and ostrich breading and management ,Natural parks management in the Sudan, Environmental and  economic importance of wildlife.

She is a Member of  Sudan Vet. Union,1987, Sudan Vet. Council ,2000, Sudan Wildlife Society  2001,Third World Organization for Women of Science(TWOWS) ,2003, World Poultry Science Association(WPSA) ,2005, Ratite Working Group ,2005 ,Secretariat General of Consultancy Board, Ministry of  the Cabinet ,Sudan ,2008 ,Wildlife Disease Association [WDA], 2012 up to date , IUCN (SSC: Wildlife health specialist  group): 2013,  Member of WCPA , 2015 till now

Also she was a Sudan Focal Point of the Near East Working Group on Wildlife and Protected Area  Management (NEWPAM).2009- 2011 ,Member of Network of African Centres for Technology Development and Transfer, FAO, Addis Ababa, 2010 , Member of  Working Group on inventory and assess the status of biodiversity and  setting national goals (National  Biodiversity Planning to Support the Implementation of the  CBD 2011- 2020 Strategic Plan in Republic of  Sudan) , HCENR . 2013 ,Member of  Expert groups for the IPBES assessments of biodiversity and ecosystem, Chap.3 . Member of  Expert groups for the IPBES assessment of the sustainable use of wild species,Chap.4,
